Sustainability
“ Act like we have just enough time. Live like it runs out today “
Prof Helen Storey, MBE, Dress of our Time.
What is Sustainable Practice?
We believe that in improving the confidence and self esteem of our customers, through the techniques that are learned alongside a creative practice, that the need to self- validate through repeat purchasing decreases.
Thus, we learn to feel better about ourselves and to consciously consume, forming lasting relationships with our garments and a mindset of ‘wearing stories’.
As you wear your unique item when forming memories - of laughter with friends, building connections, travel, joy and life experiences - we hope that you grow a deep sentiment towards your item and regard any imperfections, wear or repairs with fondness and love.
We hope that your garment will become a treasured item within your wardrobe and that you form lasting connections with it through your personal journey, keeping it for many years and passing it on to another generation, with all its heritage when the time is right. \
This, we believe, is sustainable practice.
How are our products sustainable?
As a brand that works to promote sustainable practice, we also ensure that our items are sustainable as much as we can;
T-shirts, Hoodies, Sweatshirts, Tote bags
These are all certified to conform with the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS), they are sustainable, Fair Wear and vegan. When pre printed, everything is printed with a UK supplier that exclusively uses eco-friendly water based pigment inks or embroidered with threads made from wood pulp. You can be confident that you are supporting ethical practices and responsible cotton farming.
Knitwear.
The merino wool that we use is certified and from non mulesed sheep. The wool is from Yeoman Yarns whose products are spun and dyed under stringent controls, to ensure quality, wash fastness, no use of environmentally harmful dyestuffs or chemicals, and comply with European ECO/ISO standa
We design for longevity and work on the principle that conscious consumption is more important than profit.
We are not perfect but we are committed to these values and strive to be both sustainable, circular and conscious of our habits.
