About Mind Threads
I am a passionate advocate for good mental health.
Having spent years in academia as a Fashion lecturer, as an NLP practitioner and as a parent, I have witnessed first hand the challenges faced by young adults ( age 18 -25); navigating the complexities of life, exams, academia, first jobs, personal growth and identity.
Social media, the pandemic and the pressures of the world that young adults live in today has resulted in a mental health crisis.
Further, supporting Neurodivergent young adults to manage and find sustainable, simple strategies to make their lives easier and providing tools for times of overwhelm that can be used to self soothe, is something that we are passionate about.
Of course, our products work for everyone and as a woman in mid life and a business woman that has experienced life’s many trial and tribulations, I am also keen to support adults in their daily life.
Mind Threads has been shaped by an understanding of the intricate connections between the mind, the language we use, our life experiences, programming and how this impacts our wellbeing - coupled with a love of fashion and self-expression through clothing.
This fusion of fashion and the mind forms the foundation of Mind Threads, where fashion and wearables become a conduit for positive change and where mindful and evidence based practice creates a wearable toolkit - designed to nurture feelings of calm, contentment and joy and reduce stress and anxiety.
